Help: Broken IPod 3g

So. My ipod is jailbrken successfully. soon after 6 months it would not turn on. It would just stay black. And when I tried to restore it it would just say it cannot find an phone. Even though it was a pod. So eventually when I recharged it it would come up to a screen forcing me to restore it so I did. And now when I try to connect it to the computer it would not even connect to it.

Idk what's the problem. And its not the usb because I tried a different one too. Thanks. Oh and I also tried holding the power and home button.

You need to recover it in DFU mode just like how you had to do it when you first jailbroke your iPod. I'll post a link, it was the first one I found on google when I searched DFU and it should help you restore your iPod. Good luck

Just making sure, since the guide didn't tell you, your iPod has to be off when you start going into DFU. The usual rule of thumb is on when connected, then turn off, then start going into DFU. Well that's what I've been doing anyway and it always work. If this doesn't work then I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that your iPod is bricked. I don't know what else to say because DFU mode restores everything to the iPod just being empty so all the software bugs and glitches are erased. If this doesn't work, then the problem is a hardware one rather than a software one. Sorry
