Enormous difference if you need overhead for overclocking components, or multiple PCI-E x16 lanes running at x16 speed for good SLI/CF configurations.

Personally, I'd just get whichever motherboard is best bang for buck if overclocking is not your priority. Look for USB 3.0 ports, SATA III ports, how much RAM the motherboard can support, how many PCI-E x16/x8/x4/x1 lanes, etc.

If you do want to overclock, then read reviews that specifically talk about overclocking potential.

Unless you're planning on putting your CPU to knees, aka watercooling/LN, anything above the UD4 with 16 power phases is fairly useless. With an Air cooler, it'll mostly come down to how good your chip is.

If you're not going to OC hardcore, just get a UD3/Asus Pro. You'll still get a good OC cause those are still quality motherboards. Can't go wrong either way.

For your information, by hardcore I mean 4.9ghz-5ghz. by good, I mean 4.5-4.7ghz and by putting your CPU to its knees, I mean 5ghz+
Of course, 5Ghz is doable (with good voltage) on something like a UD3 with a good chip. but also, you could buy an UD4 and get a bad chip, so yeah, getting a decent OC is also luck of the draw

Then either of the motherboards in post #2 will suit you well. Also the Gigabyte UD4 is a great choice as well.
