A lot better. Probably 7-10c better in load temps than the freezer when lapped.

After lapping my BT and putting on a thermaltake Thunderblade, I have not seen my temps go above 39 C. I'd say it's worth it.

That much? I thought that was the jump from stock to typhoon, not freezer to typhoon...

If you lap the bt you WILL get a noticable difference. At least 5c, probably more.

And now he has phase, OBVIOUSLY a major downgrade from said BT

On subject, I have a BT, non-lapped (yeah yeah I am getting to it ,eventually) and even at my overclock I have never even sniffed 50 C

I had used both the BT and the Freezer in my system below. The BT won hands down! load temps is were it makes the biggest difference and thats what counts.

I ended up lapping my BT and added a better - higher cfm fan, the lapping and fan added a drop in temps also. I would say overall about an 8-10 c drop in load temps as opposed to the Freezer in my system. Ever system setup is different however.

You do not need a tornado in there if you swap the fan as i used a Panaflow 86.5 cfm fan and barely noticed a drop from running it at full speed as opposed to lets say medium speed. You will however get a nice drop in temps as opposed to the stock fan that comes with the BT.

BT is the winner!
