You take different grits of sandpaper and sand the base of the heatsink to a very smooth and flat finish.

I will try and find a howto link and post it for you.

Just make sure you keep the heatsink as flat as can be. Use a piece of glass to put the sandpaper on while your lapping.

Look for sales on the BT, especially if you have a 939, the BT (non BTVX) has been seen on sale a lot lately

What's your vCore?

Both are great coolers, especially when lapped and with upgraded fans. I think it's worth the extra money, others may not.

Pink has a TT Armor- that makes a difference by itself. I modded my Freezer with a tornado, and tbh, I'd prefer to have a Scyth Mine. The BT's likely a better cooler than the A64, BUT, your case ventilation is going to have a big effect on the temps as well.
