typer.gif hi every one... have you ever heard about OMNET++ ... for Network Simulation did any one know it ?

i'm trying to do 100 routers working on OSPF routing protocol ..... devil.gif


reality cost me millions !! cigar.gif
emulators?? it cost me at least 20 super gaming rig's ...... axesmiley.png


but simulation is the best way ... but it need little experience on C++ and little knowledge on how to work on that ... so if you know some one that could help... i'll be appreciated thumb.gif

Maybe something like netkit? (as below)

Netkit is a network simulator, it runs mini linux's and you can have manu mnay many open at once, (had arounf 50 or so in a lab in 2GB o ram), they are very light and i think maybe what you are looking for, no need to know c++ and there are some pre made labs out there which you could use, and if not you can make your own thumb.gif

yep vmware is just a way of running a os imn a os you get a drop ion performace and no 3d but you dont need that, all you need is the iso and you can run the live cd in it, if you get a effeiant distro link mint as well you can have more ram for the lab

yep linux is a free os, all the code and the support + disks are totaly free (par a few like red hat)

and netkit is also free for non comercal uses.

There is also virtual box and Microsoft virtual pc for alternate virtual pc runners
