Yep..but i also run three 120hz monitors that only do 120hz over display port...so in addition to screen tear i dont get 120hz support if the card doesnt support three displayports. At least nvidia lets you get around this provlem by usinh three cards

stole my thunder... Minecraft can max out my 2GB card easily with HD texture photorealism at 64 and it goes to 256 :S ... there is a 128 and 256 version of that mod.. so I am thinking with 6GB you put 256 on and a few other mods 6 GB VRAM maxed

The only thing that would boost score in 3dmark outside of hardware clocks is lucidmvp, or turning off tess.
I'm assuming they did something to make the card look attractive (score wise). I'm also doubting
6gb would make any difference vs 3gb for benchmarking @ 720p (performance preset).
It may be redundant and mostly pointless but this will probabally be the fastest of the 7970/680s. For that I applaud it. I wouldn't be surprised if lots of people were able to break 1300mhz on these cards.

The shroud looks like a Reventon thumb.gif but isn't 6GB a bit overkill?

When we saw glimpses of Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 Toxic 6 GB graphics card, we knew Sapphire was prioritizing on aesthetics a lot. That turns out to be the case, as the first pictures of this monstrosity reveal. The PCB and cooler are designed from scratch, by Sapphire. The PCB accommodates 6 GB of memory in 24 GDDR5 memory chips, 12 on each side. To power the factory-overclocked 28 nm "Tahiti" GPU and 24 GDDR5 7 GT/s memory chips takes some really strong VRM. Sapphire implemented an 8+3 phase power supply, that makes use of solid-state chokes (don't whine under stress), and International Rectifier DirectFETs. The VRM draws power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors.

I hope Sapphire makes a cheaper 3GB verison if they do it might be my next card. I had a couple of HD 3870 Toxics Xfire, they were very cool cards.

You mean 1.5gb version right? thumb.gif and 400$?
6GB is insane. I don't have a problem with it, but just realizing that there will be a GPU with 6GB of VRAM out there blows me away. Simply incredible.

Look at the back of the card, it has the stock (2)Display Ports, (1)Hdmi & (2) DVI? What the Fudge? Anybody that runs an eyefinity setup should have three matching display out connections so they don't have the HORRID screen tearing! Without three DVI, three DP or three HDMI this card is complete and utter FAIL!
Looks like Ill be stickin with my Asus CUII 7970 until Nvidias 780s come out.

Wow. What a blunder...
