Definitely needs a "Maybe - have to see how the final version turns out" option.

Several things very well might change if they get a tidal wave of negative feedback. This is a release candidate.

I'm definitely not in either the yes or no camp. It's too early to make that decision.

If things stayed as they currently are, I'm thinking not. I'm not completely opposed to it though.

I held off on voting till now, and I voted 'No".

I wanted to see the direction the OS was taking. I've tried earlier builds and the more recent RC, and have found that the OS is moving pretty much in the opposite direction I would like, so I can't really imagine purchasing it without a major reversal (which I highly doubt will happen).

Very likely not. i don't really think the Metro UI is suited for how I use Windows.

because i have w7 and there are no feature in w8 interesting enough to be worth an upgrade!last time 64 bit was a reason enough ,i thot aero would be a nice bonus!sadly like usual ms screwed up aero implementation and its either aero or java if you use both you wont get gpu acceleration in java,so in the end i run in classic mode problem solved ,people that look would be like *** this is xp?nope w7 but in classic view lol!kind of defeat the purpose.also w7 were supposed to get ie10 ms backed down because they diecided to make it a w8 feature even tho there is so little to be worth calling it a w8 only is stupid!
i would use chrome if it wasnt crashing each time because i am blocking their invasivity and they google doesnt look like it like it one bit lol!so i am stuck with ie9
