This is really the issue. What choices are there on the x86 side? Linux, which is still have audio driver issues solved in Windows circa 1993, and...well that's it. So the choice is stick on windows 7 or xp until a real windows comes out, get 8 and suffer through it or join the chaos of Linux. What's that ubuntu interface called? Unity? Looks like as many complaints about that as metro. Maybe even more...
Oh, and if I've learned anything from slashdot.org even if we get more 3rd parties writing drivers linux users will just keep complaining because they're not "free and open". Barrier to entry I think is what I'm trying to say. Sorry if I'm off topic.
