I remember looking at all the screenshots comparing DX9 and DX10 in Crysis and thinking how much better 10 was. I could not tell the difference comparing my own ingame recordings. I don't think I have any games that use DirectX 11.

If it wasn't for microsoft preventing their new software from running on their older OS's (like the .netframework), I would still be running Windows XP. So no, I will not be buying Windows 8, or any Windows for that matter.

Crysis was artificially hobbled in DX9. The only real reason DX10 looked any better was because you couldn't use the highest in-game settings in DX9 unless you modified the config files.

However, DX10 Crysis can actually be made to run faster on newer hardware, even if it doesn't actually look much better.

Everyone know windows likes to put out a good OS then a crappy one. Besides that whole mess they created with NT, ME, 2000. XP was the only good one back then. Vista was garbage and now an OS aimed towards tablets and phones. No thanks. They want the flashy look of Apple it seems without and know how on achieving it.
