4100 and 6790

Thread Starter
would a FX 4100, radeon hd 6790, and 8 gigs 1600mhz ram be enough for bf3? i will probably oc the 4100, and i dont plan on playing at full 1920 x 1080, so will it be enough?
Yes. I'd recommend getting an i5-2500k though. Or even an i3-2100 would be better than the AMD processor for BF3.

Yes it is, but the only way to know for sure is to load it up and give it a try thumb.gif

hmm i dont think you could be able to max out with AF and AA on wink.gif the best setting you may get is high-ultra setting somewhere in middle and i really think its upon the user what FPS he/she thinks is playable i have seen people calling 60FPS playable and people saying 30FPS is playable were as generally 30FPS + on a AVG is preferred in my suggestion
but i would highly recommend a 6850 if you have not bought the 6790 it would cost you mere 10 or 20$ but is worth the money and 6850 is minimum recommended fro 1080p res thumb.gif and for CPU if you have not setup one then get a 960T and overclock it which will give you overall a better performance then the 4170 redface.gif
Hope that helped thumb.gif

BF3 likes cores and disregards Ht completely. 4100 has an edge.

hm were are you from anyways ???? thinking.gif that was a good move going for 4100 which is the same just underclocked and a 6850 smile.gif even a cheap 955 BE would do buddy but a 960T is recommend what parts do you have in mind we might just be able to adjust a few things and get and get both 960T and 6850 together or even better wink.gif

The 960T would be better the the FX-41** when it come to gaming.
