There is a marked difference between the CPU temp and the core temp reported in speedfan..I also use 'core temp' program download it here
and get close enough to the same reading as the speedfan core temp.
Once under full load the core temp instantly rockets up 15-19C over the CPU temp which rises slowly over time, to have in most normal situations (air and water cooled) about a 11c to 14c differential.
I guess alot of people are worried as this 'core temp' was never seen with only the lower CPU temp being indicated.footnote
: I am still awaiting an email in regards to how this figure is actually calculated, the website is fairly vague in regards to the mechanics of it all.
