Best Smartphone?

My dad's looking a for a smartphone. He's currently "trying out" so to speak, a HP h6315, and he's really not clicking with it. Mainly cuz the speakerphone sux and the ringtones (polyphonic) that I found arent playing loud enough for him. Anyways, he likes the Dell Axim x51v and the Treo (the newer one). He wants GSM support, if it's CDMA only, he wont even look at the phone. Also, he doesnt like any OS other than Win, for some odd reason. Camera is plus. Thanks.

Have him check out the:

3125
2125
8125

Out of all those the 8125 is the most powerful. But the 3125 is the sleekest as its razr thin.

No it is not sold in the states yet. It will be part of Cingulars complete roll out of HSDPA in the future here. If you wanna buy one though the best of the best for PDA's is MadMonkeyBoy his site is http://www.dweiniger.com/ however I think he is sold out at this time.

mr pink, just to correct you the 8125 isnt more powerful than the 2125 or the 3125 it just has full pocket pc... i have the 2125 and its great, the 8125 is nice if you want wifi in a nice small package but the 2125 is just fine for just normal use and fun games and music. i have programs where you can look at your ms docs and all that... so its up to you what you want. the tytn is a fast mother! 400MHz, double the 8125, it also has faster wifi and a better camera (actaully 2 cameras but the 2nd is for video calls) so yeah hope this helps

Yes it is more powerful. It will allow you to edit those documents vs just looking at them. The 2125 is a Smartphone while the 8125 is a Pocket PC. A Smartphone is a dumbed down version of a PPC.

I have owned both a Smartphone and a PPC, I currently own a PPC at this time.

Also my 6700 is 400mhz...

certain documents can be edited in ppc, powerpoint is just to view, they both have the same cpu's! sure it can do more but that just is because it have PPC and a touchscreen and a kb

A smartphone is essentially a stripped down version of PPC. In this case that is not something you would want. I do not look at power my CPU in a smartphone/ppc like you would a comp. A more powerful cpu will yes allow applications to run a bit faster yes but it is not the overall judge in a phone.

Also a lot more applications are made for a PPC vs a smartphone.

Also every MS app I have on my PPC is a full version vs just a viewer as a smartphone has.
