This build is really cool, the theme is really well thought out and well executed. But why not Noctua fans? Especially for a case as open as the lan boy air and since Noctua fans are a brownish dirt color.
I still really dig the asthetic of this build!

Personally I think that this is one build where the Noctuas will actually fit in. Either way he'll probably paint them.

This build reminds me a lot of Fshizl's Polemos!

Hey team, my apologies for not posting up sooner, I got busy doing the dad thing with the kids and work, etc..

But the good news is, I've got another picture dump, so I hope you like it?? it's not done yet but it is coming along nicely, well at least I think it is.. hahhahaha...

I continued on my WWII pinup

IMG_1119.jpg

IMG_1123.jpg

painted up my hard drive and the free floating supports

IMG_1138.jpg

Started on my wire management, I had fun here, it was my first time ever trying anything like this and I think it turned out ok, IDK? so if you have any advice that would be cool.. again I'm not sure what its suppose to look like other than clean and behind the mother board, right?

IMG_1151-1.jpg

IMG_1146.jpg

Got the back all cleaned up, I am missing a 1 grommet thou.. I'll need to find it..

IMG_1168.jpg

Painted up and added in my NZXT havik cooling system and hooked up the rest of the fans.

IMG_1161.jpg

IMG_1163.jpg

Added on all of the side covers and took it outside for some pics.

IMG_1180.jpg

IMG_1177.jpg

Got it back inside, fired it up and over clocked it hahahaa..
IMG_1189.jpg

baby runs like champ..

just in case your curious, here are the parts it took to get it this far. Yeah I know it's not the greatest, but with two kids, three dogs a house etc, etc, it was the best I could do.

IMG_1105.jpg

Then I removed some of the screens and added on some lexan panels, these will all be painted up but for now this is what it looked like, at in the beginning.

IMG_1200.jpg

IMG_1194.jpg

And speaking of beginnings here's the start of my pinup smile.gif

IMG_1196.jpg

Yeah I know, I know.. I've got LOOoooooooong way to go to finish her up, I've got add in all of the old school lettering, some bullet holes and of course last but not least some old school star and stripes badges..

Anyway thank you all for your time and your overwhelming support for my build, its really deeply appreciated.. I'll plan on having it all finished up before next week, so I'll post the completed pics, hopefully next Monday or so...

P.S.
I'm going now go back and responding to all questions and comments previously left, so my apologies for not responding sooner.. I'll do them now..

Thanks for your understanding..

Hell YES I should have gone with the "Sabertooth"... but I just purchased the motherboard and I'm sorry I can't justify spending anymore $$$ now.. I'm just chalking it up as a newbie mistake and yes, I do learn from my mistakes... lol..

Thank you for letting me know about it thou.. and thank you again for stopping by checking out my project too..

Well first off I'm sure it would too, but I'm really not worried about the warranty, I purchased it off craigs list for 100 bucks, so to me its just not a big deal. as for how.. Well I custom mixed up some 5 colors of "house of color" paint, sprayed on two light coats of bull dog "adhesion promoter" then air brushed @ 15 psi on two light coats of paint. The airbrush paint i use is good "temp sie" up to 150 degrees so I should be fine.. The big thing is!, you don't wont to add anymore thickness to the heat shrink as you can, the more you mills of paint you use the harder the heat has to transfer through it..
I hope that helps.. If you need a link to buy some airbrush paint, please check out this place.. I get all of my supplies here.. http://www.coastairbrush.com/
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out!..

WOW.. thank you!.. I've seen your BAD AZZ lanboy build and LOVED IT!... you're so much braver me than me, going with water cooled.. big balls there IMO.. I was totally impressed with it.. so that really means a LOT coming from you!..

Thank you again for your time and kind words.. Please stop by next week and check out the final project..

Have a great one

Well I've got a few buddies who actually work for computer manufactures and others who are involved in the design engineering of the hardware. I asked them that if I painted up heat sinks if / how much adverse effect if would cause (cooling wise). I was advised that basically as long as i keep my total coverage under 4mill it would only add 2 degrees to my overall system parts.. Well IMO i can live to that 2 degree bump as my system hasn't run over 120 degrees after 2 hours of MW3, etc.. on average without any video games it never exceeds 78 degrees so I have no worries at all..

As for paint type, I use / LOVE house of color paint! found here www.costairbrush.com. as for the method, well.. since I'm trying to keep my mill's thin, I don't use any primer, I start off with two light coats adhesion promoter and then proceed with two light coats of paint.. I set my airbrush anywhere between 12-18 psi depending on my mixture.. House of color paint works GREAT but your need to know how it mix it, if you just starting off in airbrushing you should get used to createx first, its much more user friendly, but you need to bump up the PSI tp 35 in order to use it and it takes about an hour to dry, where as the house of color dries in 2-3 minutes.

I hope that helps..

Thank you again for stopping by and checking it out.. Have a great one

Hey thank you!. I apreicate the kind words..

IDK LOL.. I'm a newbie and this my first build, I was at Fry's saw the Noctua fans where the quietists fans, white and went for it.. hahahahaa. Hell I don't know any better hahahaa. but they pretty much white in color so for now I'm ok.. I can say without a doubt! these fans are extremely quit, OMG i can hear them and something keeps my system cool.. so again being a newbie and not really knowing, I think / hope I'm ok.. hahahhahaha.. worst comes to worst, I'll just paint them white 

Thank you again for your time, advise and kind words thou.. Deeply appreciated..

Those SilenX fans are great for making little to no noise, I had one on an Air CPU cooler and it was nice as I could not hear the CPU fan at full load. However it only lasted about 6 months till I had to repair it. Meaning I had to relube it with motor oil (sewing machine oil is better). Removal of the blades are very ez, so if you do need to repair or choose to repaint them it will be real simple.

Oh yeah that zombie stuff is awesome also!!!!
