Radeon HD 7970 - Bluescreen when using two monitors - Page 2

Just wanted to post back up, my Asus z68-v board was acting funky, flashed the latest bios and killed the board. Half the time it would boot ok, others it would hang on boot with the cpu led lit. Then yesterday morning it would not boot at all so I swapped out to just an ASRock P67 and everything is fine. Computer has been running fine using a modded cat 12.5 beta driver, no bsod's to report. If something does pop up, ill post back, but everything is looking good.

I'm having the same problem with my Sapphire HD7970 random blue screens pop up. I'm using 3 monitors... so it's not just the duals.

currently using the 12.4 software does the 12.5beta fix this problem?

Not sure if you guys have stumbled upon the post over at 'sevenforums' yet, but it conveniently points to the 12.6 beta download which in turn claims to fix the following issues:

"AMD Radeon™ HD 7900, AMD Radeon HD 7800 Tri-CrossFire™ configurations + Eyefinity BSOD when launching a DirectX application.
AMD Radeon HD 7900, AMD Radeon HD 7800 Eyefinity/Multiple Display configurations BSOD when using desktop applications."

12.6 CCC/driver beta link:

Good luck, i'll be testing this out starting tonight (coming from RC11)

2 days of gaming and regular desktop use with dual monitors and ZERO problems yet with 12.6 CCC installed!

Run monitor 1 off of DVI, and run the second monitor off of a Mini DP to DVI active adapter. When running a single 7970, the use of a dvi and hdmi cause's BSODs it seems. The use of DVI and a Mini DP with a active adapter will fix your lock-ups. Almost 2 months ago I build a rig for a friend of mine, and he was complaining about lock ups. I ended up remedying the situation by getting rid of the use of the HDMI port. PC has been running great ever since with ( Monitor 1--DVI , Monitor 2--Mini DP to DVI active adapter ).
