my pc crashes !

Thread Starter
can you please give me some "mayby" reasons why my pc chrashes? i got it for about 1 year ago and this is my only problem. when i am playing and my pc starts to provide something the screen just gets black and says "no signal" i am using DVI cable. my screen is new. before i used this screen i had a tv screen using VGA cable. and there was trouble there too. with the tv screen it just totaly fcked up my picture. and no matter what i needed to close my pc and start it again. i just send my graphic card to repair and got a new one.

in my pc:
Intel(R) core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10 GHz
ATI Radeon 6870 HD
8 gb ram
windows 7 64-bit
coolermaster GX 550w Model RS-550-ACAA-E3 Type Intel form Factor ATX 12V V2.31
Motherboard P8P67LE

i am bad with a pc so tell me if you need more info smile.gif

it is not screensaver. i have norton anti virus. its not overclocked. with my old screen it told me that the screen driver stopped working and is restarted. but that was only 1 out of 10 times.
with my old screen the picture sort of went left. so the part of the screen that should be left came out in the right side.

my father just asked me if 550 w is enought for this pc ? i dont know.

thanks

aha graphics drivers crash ^_^!

What verion of ati catalyst have you got installed? And when does it happen? (extended gaming/random?)

I had the Exact same problem thumb.gif, it used to happen to me in 11.1 i think it was (i was playing dragon age 2 so when was that out heh), mine seemed to be more random but guessing at high load

550 Watts should be enough for the pc, i think ive got simmlar spec on 600 watt soo should be good

It sure is! I always think it's amusing to talk about something that's "off-topic" whilst in the OT section. biggrin.gif
