What graphics card for U3011 monitor?

Thread Starter
I'm upgrading my monitor from 3x u2311 to 1x u3011 and 21.5. Basically I will be running one monitor with 2560x1600 and one monitor 1920x1080.

Was wondering what card would be recommended to use for my screens? Only using the 30inch for gaming, no weird surround/eyefinity for me. Would prefer to use one card, but would also use two cards if need be.

Would want the graphic card to be able to churn out constant 60fps with highest settings. More I type the more I realize I most likely need to two a two card setup. So which one would you all recommend?

Why not use the 2 GTX580s in your sig, or is that out of the question?

I'm pretty sure the 680 can max BF3 at 2560x1440, so it should be fine at 2560x1600. At that resolution it's on par with the 7970, my guess is because of vram or bus width limitations. For single card, you could probably go with either, or if you want to wait a couple months evga is supposed to have a classified 680 with 4 GB of vram. And then we're supposed to see GK1110 in August but we still don't know too much about that.

My cards have been showing wear with failures here and there. Requiring a full system restart. I'm planning on a full upgrade soon. So would buy new cards.
