Scythe also says that the majority of their weight is at the bottom of the cooler, in the copper base. Although the cooler is actually huge, the fins are thin enough to not weigh too much.

The fan mounts only work if the fan is pointing one way, but I wanted a push-pull config. Is it possible to reverse the polarity (switch the yellow and red wires) and have the fan run backwards? Is it safe?

I'm considering this, some high grit sandpaper, and some AS5. Gonna bring my temps down alot! Scythe really does make an amazing cooler!

i think if you are considering puttin a push/pull having 2 fans on ur ninja then try what i did. put a fan grill on the pull side and zip tie it. make sure ur zipties are exceptionally long and wrap them around the heat pipes.

I was wondering the same thing

Edit: they are coming out with some new "metalpad" that you can use on aluminum, cpu's, and gpu's

you could probably use that on your cpu

I believe you can use it on the CPU die, as long as its not made of aluminum. Just be careful about applying it....if you use a paintbrush, its liquid enuff that it will splatter some if u let the bristles flick off the edge of the area your painting. You definitely do not want this stuff anywhere on your mobo.
