Just checked with OCN's PSU guru (Shilka) and he confirmed the Strike X (Aerocool right?) is not a good unit which may have caused the damage on the mobo.

You might have been lucky with the 2nd PC being powered by the X Strike..

If and when you get the replacement for your BBII, I strongly recommend you get a quality PSU to power it.

Here's the list:

And here's how to put your rig in your sig if you like:

I will Check that but so far it was doing Ok with my MPower Mobo and i never have any problems with it I waiting for Monday when MSI support come back to Me and i will send the Mobo to them.

i think if the PSU will fail giving some spike or something it will do more damage then just burning one Chip and after i power it again nothing spark or blow again but the weird thing no errors was shown on Mobo just it was no Signal to monitor from graphic card but rest controls was flashing Blue on it

if that was a fault of PSU I think that mistake will cost me 244 £ and i will need to buy new one plus new PSU I don't think MSI will replace this Mobo or fix it if the damage was done by PSU frown.gif

If you have a different PSU to test with, try the GPU in a different PCI-E slot in the BBII and check.

Surely for MSI to refuse to replace the mobo they would have to PROVE that it was caused by the PSU? Furthermore unless they specifically say in publicity that the BB2 must not be used with this PSU they wouldn't have a leg to stand on? I would imagine that, to such a large company, the cost of a replacement mobo is nothing and I would also imagine that to them repairing your busted mobo would be a 10 minute job.

I think MSI cares for their costumers maybe even enough to switch it out for you. I know I care for them . The mainland and Taiwan in business
together nice, does wonders for my Zen or Soul or what ever. About you being your own Attorney. Well Live Free, Die Hard I guess biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Before this board I had an ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z and I bought a Creative Titanium Fatality Champion sound card (the one with the front 5.25 bay unit). When I installed it lit up but no sound. Nothing I could do would make it work. Eventually I found the solution on Creative's website which was that it had to be installed as far away from the GPU as possible though there was no explanation of why this was. When I moved it to slot seven lo and behold it worked fine. However the BB2 has X-Fi onboard sound and to be honest when I tried both I couldn't tell the difference so in my most recent rebuild (second GTX 690) I removed it and sold it.
