Pinza and eXXon thnx so much for your help! I'll intall the card into slot 7 and see what happens.

I was afraid that it might cause probs with SLI and the pciex gen 3 speed setting thingy???
So I built my system last year but due to my work schedule being crazy over the winter I haven't really had a chance to sit and mess with it until now and I'm having several issues I was hoping someone could help me with or something.

I'll start by saying all drivers/firmwares are up to date.

What started this is I found in windows that it was saying I had 64 gigs of memory installed but only 16 gigs usable. So that eventually led me into my BIOS where I saw that it was also only running at 1333. I did some more searching and asked some friends and was told that this is common and you need to enable the XMP profile to get it to run properly. Well enabling XMP caused the computer not to POST, restarted 3 times then let me go back to the BIOS. So that's all kinda problem 1.

I also noticed that none of the voltages are able to be modified, all are set to Auto with no square brackets around them.

CPU Multiplier is also unable to be changed.

This is all fairly new, maybe since a recent BIOS update? When I first got the PC together I had started to OC a bit and had it at 4200, but now I can't change anything.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

*edit*
Oh btw, specs would help I guess:

Corsair 900D case
MSI Big Bang X-Power II
Intel Core i7 3930K
64gb (8x8gb) Kingston Beast Series DDR3-2400
Corsair AX1200i
EVGA GeForce GTX Titan Hydro Copper

Water Cooled with Swiftech Quad 120 and a Dual 120 rads, Swiftech MCP655-B pump, Swiftech Apogee HD CPU waterblock (limited edition), and a couple reservoirs.

Disable XMP and enter the memory timings & speed manually. But only the 1st four timings and leave the rest on Auto (i.e. 9, 9, 9, 24, rest on Auto).

With the new Bios(s) & most OC settings, you'll have to numerically type in the desired value and hit enter. (even the multiplier)

And here's how to put your rig in your sig :

Thanks man. Rig should now be in sig, but I still don't know what's going on with the rest of the stuff. I can edit the timings just fine and it takes that, but as soon as I change it from 1333 to anything higher it just won't boot, and it's still only showing 16gb usable in the windows system information.

I also figured out that I can't edit cpu multipliers and voltages when I reboot and go into the bios, but I can edit them just fine in the ClickBios windows program, then restart and it takes it.

Can you post a pic of CPU-Z when under the 'Memory' tap?

I figured I'd post all 3 tabs how it's sitting right now, it's been forced back to default settings since I changed the memory clocks yet somehow it keeps putting the CPU at 3.8ghz =\ oh well.

What timings did you enter in Bios for the Ram (should be 11, 14, 14, 33) ? And according to this, your Ram operates @ 1.65v (not 1.5v) which you might have to do manually for both settings (Channel A/B & Channel C/D).

3930K Turbos to 3.8GHz with Base clock at 3.2GHz.

Previously I had looked online and got timings and set it to 11, 13, 13, 33, 1.65v. I just set it to the 11, 14, 14, 44, (Ch A/B and C/D)1.65 and attached the cpu-z image, still only running at 666mhz. Also attached the windows system panel, still saying only 16 usable.

- Type 'msconfig' in the search box of the Start menu.
- Click the Boot tab.
- Click the Advanced Options button.
- Turn off the Maximum Memory option if it's checked (or set it to 64GB).
- Reboot.
