I can't overclock my e5 1650 on this mobo even though it shows it's unlcokced, my only option for a multiplier is 100? Also i can only use 3 ram sticks at a time, is my board faulty? Please help.
Hi mate, 100 is not your multi, thats the BCLK. your multiplier is definitely unlocked on that cpu, i just removed one from mines.

also, anyone out there point me to a guide on BCLK overclocking on this board. i have an E5-1620 that im sure will run at 5ghz but i need to know the base settings as a guide as theres that many on this thing wink.gif all help appreciated.

Hi, i make new account because i can't use my pc anymore since yesterday msi big bang x power 2 issue, i tried everything but not sure at 100% where is the problem, when i press power the motherboard fan psu ssd. Hdd pump. All led lights up but cpu phase get only 2 led instead of 16 no post no beep no debug it seems the debug. Led are dead also no usb. Im starting to think cpu is dead.
No matter what i do result is the same either with 1. Stick of ram 1 hdd 1 gpu or. That doesnt matter.
So i would greatly appreciate if i can get an answer, because for now i'm not sure if it's cpu or MB pretty sure. Its cpu because for. The past two week the. Cpu act really strange and now this.

Sorry i write this on my phone. Because. Can't boot my. Pc anymore. And before i buy new cpu i want to have. Some second thought about this.

My original account is millenna but can't remenber the login and can't use my pc so really need help to figure this. Out

Goodmorning everyone !!
Some time ago I read the MSI official forum that some users have installed the new PCIe SSD Kingston Hyper x Predator HHHL smoothly (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=262598.0)
These days Kingston has unveiled a new SSD PCIe model the DCP1000 (https://www.google.it/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwjg9qC6mLrSAhWE7xQKHfHTABQQFggjMAE&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.kingston.com%2Fdatasheets%2FDCP1000_us.pdf&usg=AFQjCNGuwfLWUAl-nCj_n9m-zWwTwE3tzg&sig2=dT3JEtDVlsEWZSadzXodMg&bvm=bv.148747831,d.d24&cad=rja)
Do you think the DCP1000 is bootable as Hyperx Predator?
Kindly tell me your opinion.
Thank you

I have a MSI Big Bang-XPower II (MS-7737) and NVMe SAMSUNG MZVPV512.(SM951)
I modified bios (v2.8) run only on efi mode , Win7 works OK 1700/1600 (Win10 1950/1600) .
But have problem in legacy not work , no shows names. Any one have better version ?

Guys, is it OK to use 2x8 pin power to CPU just for i7 3820? In testing 4.3GHz for daily now. And what "Legacy Tweaking" option on setting with latest BIOS V2.8 is for?
I just got this awesome mobo, a used ofcourse but still in good shape/healthy. Easy OC to 4.520GHz with 113x40 and 1.26Vcore set in BIOS smile.gif

Btw I think Patriot Xtreme Division4 4x4G 1866MHz DDR3 is not compatible for this mobo...If I set XMP Profile enabled and test Memtest86 via USB FD Bootable then when I completed 4/4 test for around 2.5 - 3 hours I got 5-8 errors. With stock RAM speed 1333MHz no error in Memtest86 for 3 hours 4/4 test.

Yo guys, new acount on OC.net not that new on reading this forum
So the reason i was forced to make a new acount is this
i Own the x79 bigbang2 and a 4930k i got it preused from a guy ,the board works perfect but only if i use the multibios (biosC) if i disable the multi bios and try to use any other (bios A/B)
The board stucks on FF post ,witch means its a problem with the cpu ....from my guess the problem is that the A/B bios have older versions that they dont suport this CPU (4930k)
My question is how i can flash the other bios(a/b) to the bios i am using now (C )
and ofc i have the latest bios on the one i use it
Thnx in advance
Steve
