[Gamespot] Ea named worst company in America by Consumerist - Page 14

I don't like EA, but there is something called CAPITALISM here. So as consumers, we choose what we buy, and if we don't like EA, we won't purchse anything manufactured (that's how the gaming industry is these days) by them.
I don't think it helps that we keep paying them for their products either... I just got ME3.... oh well...

The problem here, is that people claim they "won't purchase anything" made by EA, yet they turn around and feed EA more money once the latest game comes out. Only a small portion of people actually boycott a company like EA. Then, those very same people complain about the game they just bought, repeating the "[So-and-so] is a terrible company, let's boycott them!"

I've purchased EA games for years and will continue to so long as the game is high quality. I have no problem with EA and don't foresee any potential problems. A lot (read: 99%) of hate towards EA is unjustified and is spread through sheeple that can't think for themselves and rely on the masses to formulate their opinions.

Wow, when someone posts at least once per page you KNOW they feel strongly about something.

Oh and "raging" like "raging homosexual" not exactly meaning angry. Just totally into something. Origin, BF3, EA take your pick (or choose them all s'up to you). Completely obvious. This dude likes his EA and will defend it vehemently. thumb.gif

after incidents such as Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, and Mass Effect 3, it's no surprise.

So true. How many EA, MW and [insert thing here] boycotts have we seen over the years? They always end up with loads of people buying them. Like half the boycott MW2 group on STeam playing the game (where's that screenshot when you need it?)

Still, the company's "worst company" poll has had some corkers over the years. Halliburton, AIG, BP and Comcast. It's something they do each year. I did a search and there wasn't a big hoorah over it on OCN last year. Strange. Mind you, the company voted for it wasn't anything to do with gaming... though in 2010 it was Comcast - that's tech related. I dunno. Perhaps some folk on the site are just kicking up a fuss because it's one of their favoured companies and flavouring the taste of it with indignation because "it's not exactly representitive of the whole US" and trying to pass it off with legitimacy when it's fairly obvious they've been scorned in some personal way.

The "sheeple" argument is evidenced by simply reading the first few posts in this thread.

Many people have shown that they truly believe that such an obviously trash poll is something EA should definately take seriously.

It's however probably not as obvious to them due to the sheep mentality that you mentioned.

You honestly look like the only one taking it seriously, dude. You've gotten that bent out of shape that every other post in this thread is yours. It's a poll on a consumer website. Clearly the readers of that site think it should have been EA this year and that's probably down to ME3. It's not important. Not worth arguing about, really.

What he's been discussing has nothing to do with EA. He's pointing out how this poll is flawed and doesn't mean squat. Which he is right.. Whether you like EA or not, this poll is worthless.

And excuse us for actually using our brains instead of blindly hating on things just because everyone else hates on it.

I've been purposely ignoring his personal jibes at me for a few pages now.

I think it's best to just leave it.
