I haven't bought a Ubisoft game in forever (other than Rayman Origins, because I forgot Ubisoft actually made it :/) and I haven't bought an EA game in forever (last time was in August of 2010 when they released NCAAF 2011). None of the games I play anymore are made by EA (I occasionally play BF2, but that was released 7 years ago) and I've got no vested interest in anything EA-related. So to sum it up: EA sucks, I don't buy their stuff.

Youre missing the point. There are lots of people on PC/game enthusiast websites that say things like this, but we are a very small portion of the market. For example, this board has a very large anti-CoD and anti-Activision view, with people saying its the worst game and they are not buying any more and boycott or whatever, yet they break records with every release, as GrizzleBoy pointed out. He also had more points, so reread his post that you most likely didnt read in the first place.

If you really wanted to get your point across, stop buying stuff from them.

People do stop buying stuff from them but they have such a monopoly over games with Activision its nearly impossible to buy a game that isnt from them. Then add to the fact a bunch of mouth breathing consoletards and their parents buy games without caring if its good or not. Eventually we will have the demographics of most gamers being adults, which it is shifting towards already, and then these companies wont be able to do this.

I think the real solution is bringing piracy to console in full force. This way even if people are pothead inbred tards they will realize if a game is or isnt worth a bag of weed. Then we will see game company reform. I have severe doubts the average gamer will become more intelligent or conscience of quality unless the companies are way more greedy and continue the CoD scam. Maybe when people start having better computers and consoles lag behind no one will buy consoles, and then just pirate on PC. Wait you want to charge me $100 for a bad game and all its DLC? How much pot is that. Ok I can see this is a bad investment.

Yeah people.. modded disk drives, mod chips, etc... some of them even let you play the pirated copies online - which you can't do with most pirated PC games until servers are emulated.

Yeah but how can you directly correlate that with this forum? Most (and I use most with malleability) of the people on this forum are PC gamers. COD is breaking records on the console isn't it?
And even then there is no direct correlation that can be made that gamers on this forum are still buying COD. I think the COD hate is quite genuine on OCN. That and all of OCN could stop buying the next COD's and probably not even dent sales.

But I do believe that 99% of the people on Actyvision and COD forums probably buy the game regardless of relentless QQing, just like the people on BF3/EA forums.

I don't know. I feel many of OCN's gaming members are pretty hypocritical. That one picture of the boycott group after MW2's release pretty much proves that. I think most of them are just trying to get attention and validation from their peers when they do things like boycotting a game or even just criticizing one.

I agree with you mostly. A lot of that is probably true.
