White matter into my Coolit ECO water block. Could this have caused it to explode ? (Video) - Page 2

This happened a while back, They sent me a higher model cooler instead, the one with the LCD. (Vantage ALC)

I had a H60 on hand but ,,, never again. With the mess it made, I've had my lesson.

I was watching my CPU temp closely and it did not rise before this happened. What happen is the pump broke and within a minute the heated fluid expanded and BOOM. (I've heard it from upstairs.)

The Vantage ALC controls it's fan speed after sensing the coolant temperature. This is unlike the ECO ALC who's fan speed is controlled by the BIOS CPU Thermal Regulation.

Talking with Coolit, the problem was with PWM in the bios, I though that plugging it into a case_fan plug giving out 100% all the time would do. Apparently you have to set thing up in the BIOS and some bios can be complicated.
Why they don't simply provide a Molex to 12V fan is beyond me.

They do not pay for broken parts they will instruct you how to clean the card , to go buy distilled water and what not , disassemble your GPU. Epic waste of time.

if the CLC leaks, users complain in the interwebs because it's the manufacturers fault

Thats true but once it does not leak it will not start to leak out of nowhere.

Does your motherboard have power fan connector (PWR_FAN)? That's usually where the pump goes. Yeah, pump inside these coolers needs to run at full speed.

It was in CHA_FAN to be precise.

I've seen people here posted that their tubes suddenly bursts, leaks, etc.

Hmm..so a molex to 3-pin with some err..modification would have prevented 'splosion?

With these coolers, the pump inside has to run on full speed. You either have to plug it directly into the PSU (molex), or plug into the motherboard and make sure it is on full speed (PWR_FAN or full on case fan). These pumps will die prematurely if you don't do the above. Explosion happens when the liquid inside heats up and expand. It can only expand so much before it explode.
