Yes while the iCore processors are better, I currently use a G620 (came from a 2600k) and it plays most games I own just fine sure i would get better frames by like 15% but as a place holder its doing a mighty fine job.

If the pentium is the only choice you have then go for it. but why not go for a 960t? it would be if not just as expensive as the pentium.
Small wonder.

g850-i3 2100 are both OK for gaming..
I like that mobo yessir.gif:
Um..I'd get the Samsung RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147096&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Memory+%28Desktop+Memory%29-_-SAMSUNG-_-20147096
PS.. I've run Crysis on a pentium g530..It did it! ..eh..about 8-10 fps lower..due to gimped RAM on h61 and low clockspeed

The pentium is 80$, the 960 is 120$ tho. See, I was sure the pentium isn't all that bad, he can always get a i5 an a year, I rather have him with a HD 6870 right now, than an i5 and a 540 GT yk.

Schmuckley, which mobo?

Oh its not bad. If he plans on dropping an i5 or something later then yea it will hold its own. Depending on what you are getting the 6870 for, i would look at the market place on OCN to see if you can catch a good deal on a card for the same price.
Small wonder.
