BF3: AMD HD 7770 CrossFireX or save for 580 3gb/ 680 2gb/ 7970 3gb

Title says it all. I won a 7770. Should I crossfire it or sell it and get a 580 3gb/ 680 2gb or 7970 3gb

I would likely sell and upgrade if funds permit. Looking at these benchmarks, the 7770 is roughly half as powerful as a 7950.

If you assume that the 7770 can scale 100% in all games, then you are equal. You have to deal with xfire and heat issues coming from 2 cards rather than just one. It's cheaper to go dual 7770s, but better to go single high end card.

I would say to get a 680 for sure.
Its cheaper than the 7970 and faster, and is a better solution then the 7770cfx

For bf3, I guess 680 is the one to go for, at a price at 499. With 7970, you have to pay more, and to beat 680 stock in BF3, you need to get the latest driver, plus OC it to at least 1100GHz.

I`d Make HD 7850 Cfx/660 SLI

7770 is extreme low end you would even be better off with a 6970. But ye sell it and go for a 7950 or even 680/7970 if budget allows it.

Go one card, no XFire issues or microstutter and you get more vram. And if you go to a 680 your most likely going to get a lot more performance than 2 7770's and a 580 will get you more vram (and probably a little bit more performance).
