Could not tell you the motherboard it all ran on. 9700 Pro was and still is the best graphics card I ever owned. That thing was relevant for years and blew the ti4600 out of the water. Not only that I'm pretty certain it was still faster then the GeforceFX 5800 released later.
Oh and I remember having an 80 gigabyte Western Digital hard drive and thinking it was pretty much the pinnacle of storage.
9700pro was great because it was the first GPU that really allowed you to use AA/AF.

All true. However, I got the Ti4600 in 2001. Which was the best card on the market, when I purchased it. The Radeon cards weren't released until 2002. I'm still running the 9800 pro - which was utterly beastly for when it was released. All Ive had to do is replace the heatsink fan (it eventually, literally, exploded off of the card, lol).

10 years ago, I had a Celeron 500 with 64mb of RAM (which I upgraded to 192mb) Can't remember what the video card was, CD drive and CD burner, and a 20Gb hard drive on windows 98

Upgraded to a Fujitsu Seimens Scaleo a few years later , that had an Athlon 3000+, 2x512Mb of Ram (pc-3200) Radeon 9200SE all on an Asus mobo and an 80Gb HD with a combi DVD reader CD burner.

Pentium 4 2.4GHz (Northwood)
512MB DDR
NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti 4400 128MB

Upgraded to a Radeon 9800 Pro the next year, though.

That is also exactly what i had! Only differnce is that my dad paid for the computer to have an internal ZIP drive, and i could upgrade the video card to the Rage 128. That thing destroyed Quake 2 biggrin.gif

I had a Duron 800 and a Voodoo4 32.

In 2004 it was a Barton mobile at 2500MHz w/ 2.0v, and some BH3 memory at 255MHz w/ 3.30v .. lachen.gif

In 2002 I was probably still wishing I could run Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 properly on my 800mgz Athlon with my Voodoo 3 2000 PCI version @ 1280x1024 on a 17" CRT.

Also wishing Omikron: The Nomad Soul was playable on that hardware, David Bowie did the soundtrack, had to wait for the Dreamcast port to play it.

As for looks, some random cool looking small case.
