In terms of aesthetics, build quality, and ergonomics (keyboard/touchpad quality) it's no contest, in favor of the Lenovo. Just look at some high-res pictures of both. The Ideapads have some of the best keyboards for a consumer laptop. I've used an Acer Aspire 15" from 2 years ago and my impression is - solid block of plastic. It works, sure, but it's not a pleasant experience.
I agree on Acer not being built of quality on the outside. I also agree 95% that the 7670M is a full rebrand, what I'm uncertain of is the slight increase in performance as notebookcheck stated over the 6650M. This more than likely is due to the newer drivers but I can't find any official information on the 7670M. AMD doesn't even have information on their website about it. The other thing I'm leery about is regardless whether its rebrand or not I don't want to take the risk of dual graphics not functioning because of it being classified as something else. I guess I'm going to wait or think about it some more. I would really hate to lose out on that Open Box deal because of lack of information on something that the manufacturer hasn't even updated on their website yet.
