Need help between two laptops 7670M vs 6650M

I'm about to pull the trigger on lenovo Z575 12992PU but I found this,Acer 7670M. I'm kinda unsure if there is any real advantages of going with the refresh of the Acer, but notebook check is saying that tessellation is better which might be true. Another fact or assumption is that I would expect better battery life out of the Acer. Anybody have any ideas on these?

You would have to find the capacities of both batteries to figure out which would have better battery life. All the hardware is the same, 7670M is most likely a 6650M rebrand. Notebookcheck says as much, noting that performance differences could be because of the CPU used in testing or the newer drivers.

In terms of aesthetics, build quality, and ergonomics (keyboard/touchpad quality) it's no contest, in favor of the Lenovo. Just look at some high-res pictures of both. The Ideapads have some of the best keyboards for a consumer laptop. I've used an Acer Aspire 15" from 2 years ago and my impression is - solid block of plastic. It works, sure, but it's not a pleasant experience.

I agree on Acer not being built of quality on the outside. I also agree 95% that the 7670M is a full rebrand, what I'm uncertain of is the slight increase in performance as notebookcheck stated over the 6650M. This more than likely is due to the newer drivers but I can't find any official information on the 7670M. AMD doesn't even have information on their website about it. The other thing I'm leery about is regardless whether its rebrand or not I don't want to take the risk of dual graphics not functioning because of it being classified as something else. I guess I'm going to wait or think about it some more. I would really hate to lose out on that Open Box deal because of lack of information on something that the manufacturer hasn't even updated on their website yet.

Well, here is information about the GPU series HD7500M and HD7600M on AMD's website: http://www.amd.com/us/products/notebook/graphics/7000m/7500m-7600m/Pages/radeon-7500m-7600m.aspx.

I agree, there is almost no information about this mobile GPU.
