Recommend Left-hand mouse foe my situation

Hi, I'm lookin for help on a mouse buy for my predicament. I shattered my humeris bone in a scuffle and I need a ambidextrous mouse to tide me over. In the near future I plan on playing mostly D3 and mapping as much as possible to the mouse because my right hand doesnt work atm cause of nerve damage. The doc said 4 months before I really start getting movement again. I doubt itll be used for more then 1 key, cant pick finger up lol. I can press down barely, but cant raise wrist or fingers, only curl them.

Now to good news: Im left handed. Ive always wondered how I would fair if i used my left for mouse control in games. Ive looked at a couple mice, the sensei and the d3 steelseries mouse. What is the diff. in these respectfully? Atm I got a G500 and a right handed DA, both of which prob. wont work too well. What do you recommend? Im gonna be stuck using left for a long time, so might as well get a new mouse. I play shooters too, so if feeling comes back early itll prob be just enuff to walk around lol.

Any help appreciated

Hm, if it has to be ambidextrous then I would say look into the zowie am and kana if they would suit your needs.

Well it doesnt have to be ambidextrous, but I need one with alot of buttons to map my D3 skills because I will be playing one handed for at least 2-3 months. If the left handed naga was out id be gold.

Atm i can map all the skills to my g500 with the tilt wheel and junk but thr mouse is pretty uncomfortable for the left hand. I just figured my best bet on buttons and comfort would be an ambidextrous mouse but Im open to all suggestions. There just isnt many left handed mice it seems

The Deathadder is the only gaming mouse I'm aware of that actually has a version designed specifically for lefties. So, you'll probably need something ambidextrous. The Logitech G300 might be a decent choice, as it has 9 buttons total.

The Sandio 3D mouse looks intriguing. It has 3 thumbsticks - one on each side and one in front of the scroll wheel. You could use the stick near your thumb to move and still have the main mouse buttons and 2 other sticks available. I don't know how the mouse actually measures up in terms of sensor quality.

Also, you could consider something like the Kinect to track movement and augment your mouse input.

Yea, I thought about the DA. I own a right handed one and could probably map D3 to it at least(using scroll up/down) but not a fan of slick sides I ended up scotch taping the DA i own, and mine's scroll button was defective out the box. But, it is left handed, and there is no telling when my right hand will ever be mouse worthy again accuracy wise. Its just dead weight atm.

I been reviewing the 2 i mentioned and it seems they are very fluff performance wise. I would have liked to go back to an optical to see what ive been missing for 10-12 yrs but none offer buttons for my situation. Im gonna check that mouse you said out. I thought about mapping movement so i could at least snipe in some fps to get used to left mouse control.

Anyways, a 2 side button mouse with software to map the scroll wheel would prob suffice for D3. My righty DA kinda left a sour taste in my mouth, but if its the best left handed mouse for me ill tape it up and hope the scroll wheel works.

Im gonna look into the g300 too. Think Im gonna ride to best buy try out the g300 and see if a left DA is around to feel. The g300 bein cheap as dirt is nice since Im gonna suck for awhile anyways.

Well, I ended up going with a cheap g300 for now. I figure I wont be playing much besides D3 for a good while, and I need 6-7 easy buttons to play 1 handed. I almost ordered a DA, but until I start really playing Fps games and can use the keyboard again I might as well wait and make the decision on a good lefty/amb mouse when that time comes. I actually played some Tf2 last night, and my aim felt pretty good(guess cause im naturally left handed), nut i couldnt move much so was sniper/rocket bait lol. But it was about as easy to hit ppl, which was suprising. I put a/d on tilt wheel and w/s on the side buttons and had to hit them with ring finger so i pretty much noobed it up and 1 spot sniped.

Anyways thanks for the help, I think my left hand is more palm grip then my right, so I ididnt like what little bit of the g300 i could feel thru the box, but i go small hands and need buttons atm. Ill let ppl know my thoughts on the thing when i get it. Might end up with a DA lefty in the long run.

I would go with the upcoming Sensei Raw if you have somewhat larger hands, and the Kinzu v2 if you have smaller hands like me. They are amibidextrous and great for palm or claw grips (I use palm grip). I didn't like the Zowie AM because it's not as wide as the Steelseries mice... which gives it a kind of Logitech G5/G500/G400 feel to it.

The Raw may have been a good suggestion, but the Kinzu wouldn't have had enough buttons for his request. I was looking at mice with at least 6-7 buttons, preferably more.

Yea, atm buttons were more important. I almost ordered the lefty DA and used the scroll wheel as button 5-7,(6 and potion), but the g300 is cheap and i just dont see myself playing many other games besides D3 for the forseeable future. If my hand comes back to life, I might dabble in fps's again and look for mice with better sensors less buttons. But, thatll be august or later if the doctor is correct.

That sandio mouse looked really cool for fps's but its like 80 or 90 bucks. I can get the g300 and play d3 then upgrade later for that price
