CPU Fan Not Spinning

Thread Starter
Well, I got my components today and decided to build the computer. When I breadboarded the system, the CPU fan was working just fine. However, when I installed the motherboard into the case and connected all the corresponding cables in accordance to my motherboard manual, the CPU fan won't spin. The PSU fan spins for a min or so, then turns off. What could be the problem?

Is it touching the case in a way that would cause a short or did something get knocked loose?
It's a computer

When I installed it, I properly placed it on top of the standoffs I installed into the case (the ones that came with the motherboard).

I reconnected some wires, and now the PSU and CPU fans turn on for a brief moment along with my case leds, but stop spinning a second later.

What PSU are you using? Are you sure all your required power connectors are attached? I see your 24-pin mobo power cable attached but I don't see the 4 pin ATX (located up and to the left of the processor socket on my Gigabyte z68-ma-d2h-b3)

Wow, silly me. I forgot the 8-pin supplementary power connector.

Haha yeah I figured you were leaving something out. Hopefully that solved everything!
