What? That programs on Macs are being used as exploits and not OSX itself? Hardly worth bringing up. Unless they've refused to update their Macs within the last year or so.

I actually worry about my macbook pro getting infected because I have less control over what happens. I suppose I could tighten stuff down, but that might "break" a lot of the functionality and ease of use I like this thing for.
I wish the people that come to my shop read this. I am kind of tired of hearing how they are so upset they are going to switch to mac Lol. I tell them every time. you will get viruses eventually! and so its begun.

It seems you don't like Macs, yet you are going onto thread with "Mac" in the title.

There is a certain word for people like you on the internet rolleyes.gif

EDIT: By the way, how's all those millions of Windows viruses, trojans, worms, etc. treating you?

That's a little better than giving money to scare mongers (av companies) isn't it?

Also, there not really any good Java on the web, never was really, why not disable it:

Last time I checked this botnet malware only effects macs. YOUR LOGIC IS FLAWED LOLOL.

LOL and your saying phones and televisions can be infected with botnet malware and viruses? That's hilarious.

Never had a virus, never paid for antivirus. 6 years going strong, its treating me just fine.

It only effects Java. Outdated Java at that. And only for Safari to make it even narrower.

Logic isn't flawed. You're saying don't have Macs because of botnets... How many have been made for Windows? Derp Derp. And seeing as phones and televisions are essentially computers these days and with most beginning to get internet connection, it's only a matter of time.

I'm just putting this out there, but if your running anything but a mac then you really shouldn't be using Safari.
