Any update from OP? Still willing to bet his pump wasn't working.

You would win that bet, everything was connected correctly the pump is just dead. turned it on this morning and temps were slightly better at 65-75 idle. all of the water in the water block was warm from not being circulated. I couldnt see last night that the pump wasnt working due to clear tubing and clear liquid. Ive pulled the cooling system out and im debating on either going to frys to pick a corsair h100 or ordering a new pump and resevoir seeing as my old pump was a 2 in 1.

thanks for all of the input guys I never would have thought a 4 months old pump would just crap out

I am also extremely pleased my cpu isnt toast

Really? then how could it possibly get that high with a heatsink installed? That's like suggesting that a broken water pump would somehow ADD heat...

He is suggesting that the cpu is a dud, and a normal cpu won't heat up that much.

Oh i don't doubt for a second that the cpu is in SERIOUS trouble. But i was just addressing the suggestion that the chip wouldn't hit 90 degrees if it were run without a heatsink. Because they really can't dissipate heat on their own. It'd be over 80 degrees before hitting the desktop

You didn't get it bro. What he is saying is that there is no connection about the pump or anything about the cooling, because even if you take the heatsink off it should not be hitting the temps that high, he is suggesting that the cpu is somewhat broken, or malfunctioning, something like that
