[TPU] Lian Li Announces Their Smallest ATX Motherboard Supported Chassis - PC-V700 - Page 6

Thank you Lian Li for only creating one 5.25. So irritating when manufacturers put in like five+ 5.25 bays like it's still 2001. I await the day when a manufacturer builds the first ATX chassis with absolutely no 5.25" bays and no HDD bays. Just a case with slots for 2.5" SSD's.

$250 is more than the case is worth !
That said It might make a decent replacement for my Antec P180 mini s ( micro Atx ) that sit on my desktop and I could use full ATX mobos as there are not a lot of Micro ATX mobos about that are performance friendly . At dollar for dollar Iwould go with the LianLI but at the $250 price tag I will give it a miss .

ditch the space for the ROM drive then we might have something

Why is everyone being anal about the price? These aren't even accurate and are likely to decrease. Granted that they used the wrong image but they are now listed at Provantage:

Looked great, I want to go small and simple for my next build. So this was a good day for this to pop up I thought... but likely about $150 over my budget... and I dislike spending over $100 on a case...

One of the best if not the best cases for a 'simple' build less than $100. I have one and love it, be aware it's only m-ATX and not full size ATX, but that's a benefit when making a simple build (read: anything less than triple GPU) IMO

See, this is why I can almost never consider a Lian-Li. Although very beautiful and high quality, its usually rather high in price, compared to others like the one you linked. Also, is that case layed out the way I think it is? Other than top mount PSU (which shouldn't be an issue with such a small case for center of grav) this looks perfect. I like how it makes the GPU be above the CPU.

Dangit... now I want that case, and I have no case budget right now... (Actually theres about $7 in the case jar, I'd been putting my build funds into my HDD / SSD Jars. (I was waiting to puy 2x 1TB Black drives but wanted them to go on just the right sale before the floods hit... now I'm stuck on my old Blue 500GB using DVD's and old external IDE's... I refuse to pay such high prices for HDDs)

/Rant.

Nice case, overpriced, too much competition available with similar style/build quality while at a lower price. (Although someone posted a link to one starting at just over $100... if thats the case for most places, and not the $250 I saw, then this might be ok)

A more comparable case is the Lian Li PC-V354
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112300
I just bought this case for $106 during Newegg's LL sale two weeks ago.

The V700 is a mid-tower with mATX dimensions. Many people don't have the space for full-tower cases, but want an ATX mobo with multi gpus. That's worth a bit more in price in their eyes.
Lian Li isn't in the business to please price sensitive buyers, that's Cooler Master and Corsair's job. A few months from now, the cases will be on sale sub $150. Newegg has LL sales quite often.

Ok, I've been a long time Lian-Li user and my HPTX case was $400 at the time of purchase.

But $250 for this case is overpriced. What are thinking?
