yeah it should be fine if you don't wanna spend extra money on electricity. The extra bump in vcore should seal it. I passed around 10 hours and i had to bump my vcore 1 notch and now its stable. As for power i am not that concerned ambient temp though is terrible in Southern california, 84 F Ambient at night, Up to 90 F Ambient Room temp during the summer. Summer gaming temps are terrible here frown.gif

Likewise here in the Philippines! Summer is always HOT here. But even not summer season, still hot in our house with no air conditon. biggrin.gif
BTW, I[ve already passed all the left FFT tests that was not tested.l And I'm now usng the 4.5ghz core clock and I will still continue monitoring everything and testing it's stabiliy in real-life apps and workloads. Thnks for your help.
And maybe next week I'd like to push it to 4.7, what do you think?

A revelation biggrin.gif But seriously, there was a long period of time I would just let it run on standard, only testing a tiny amount of ram, and wonder why IBT would always fail- because that initial prime test wasnt stressful to begin with. Usually if you go with IBT first and then into prime, you can help figure out which direction to go in based on the errors. Most of my experience has been failing IBT, adding voltage on ram or cpu, passing ibt, failing prime after a few hours, making a fine tune on memory, solved.

Yeah i usually run Intel burn test first as its quicker and can find problems ill run 50 or 100 runs of intel burn test on standard and see if that does ok. then a prime test.

I always test by running prime for 24 hours and have my ram set to 90%. When I notice some funky things going on, I change the amount of time the FFTs run from 15 to 25 minutes and give a 48 hour test run. >.>

 

Then after that I test with LinX 25 runs max ram. If I pass all that, I am stable at my desired clock speed.

 

 

But good information. I have always known 12 hours was never enough for prime.

Two days into folding in the FFW and a 101 error... dropped my clocks and continued but Ill have to try this after the FFW is finshed.
Just continue folding. BSOD will happened maybe once again or never -> but for "proper" stress test you will lose more than one day. Keep in mind that folding is almost equal to stress testing. thumb.gif
