Best Ram for Oc i7 3820

hi guys smile.gif

like said on the title i would like to know what ram should i use with the 3820 i bought since i know it isn't unlock i want to

push it well thats why i bought a rampage extreme with it i know how to oc with ram i didn't do it since a long time and now

with my 2600k i got pretty much use to play only with the multiplier but anyways i want some help to choose the right ram i heard those are ocing a lot .

The BCLK on the i7 is limited because of the IGP, not the RAM.

You'll be fine even with Kingston ValueRAM.

You up the Strap to 125MHz and work from there with your max multiplier. Use you rams dividers to keep it close to 1866Mhz.

Use the 125Mhz strap and your Ram divider to 2000Mhz with looser timings. should work well.

yup use whatever ram you like as long as ur mobo supports it, now oc the ram is diffrent. If you are going to oc your ram find a low voltage and nice heat fins or some even come with thee own fans. But imo oc the ram does not do to much, you might notice it, then agian you might not. You notice more when you oc ur cpu vs ram.

i know my goal is to increase the baseclock with my ram i cannot, my ram isnt able to go pass 105mhz with my 2600k unless i did something wrong it has been a long time since i oc with baseclock it's a little more tricky.
