you are comparing x4 phenom ii vs. x8 BD right? read my post again bro.

the fact is, phenom ii is better in every aspect including the price compared to it's bulldozer counterpart,
nobody in the right mind will buy an x4 or x6 bulldozer cpu.

you can justify buying an x8 bulldozer because there is no x8 phenom ii, but what if there is?

8120 and bulldozer series are great sure there not the best in some areas but they do very well and they did not perform as expected but there still a good cpu i'd still choose my 8120 if i got a second chance to pick between i7/8120, but that's just my opinion you don't have to agree.

Should just start banning certain members, maybe then there can be intelligent discussion again on OCN.

i will say what i have been saying since release...and 90% of you cant actually say this because you have never seen a BD run in person. You take a 2600k and a BD rig side by side and do anything besides run benchmarks and you will never know the difference. the minute 2-3 fps that the 2500k does NOT MATTER when you are gaming on a 60hz monitor and fps are already over the 60fps.
no, banning people because of ignorance is not the answer.

And everyone can get a free 8120?
And Post facts bro, not opinions.
Im not even comparing amd and intel here, im just comparing BD and phenom ii.
Im just saying that phenom ii is better in every aspect compared to its BD equivalent. Ie x3 vs. X4, x6 vs. X6

facts? i havent seen you post one fact either. I am stating an OBSERVATION that i doubt you have seen in person. I have.

Not everyone can get a 2500k @ $180 so does that make the price invalid? no. 200 people got free 8120's and 100 more will get em this month. thats 300. i bet ya thats more than the amount of people on this forum that got 2500K's from MC for $180.....

I am not a fanboy. i go for price and performance. For the longest time i was using AMD because my Phenom x2 550 that i paid $95 for could unlock and overclock to 3.6. Then i had a Phenom x6. sold that got a i5 750, then a 2500k, then a 2700k, then a q8400. now i have a q9550. And i have a 8120 coming in the mail that cost me $0 and you know what, besides the 2500k that was overclocked to 5.0 and had a gtx 580, there is not much difference in gaming on ANY of them. Yes, i scored a lot more in 3d mark with the 2500k then i did with the phenom, but in games, when you are already hitting 60fps it does not matter.

most games now adays are gpu oriented. an i3 with a gtx 570 pulls almost the same fps as a phenom x6 1100t with the 570. does it mean everyone should dump there 1100t and grab a i3? no, not unless you only want to run 2 programs at a time before you have your pc slow down.

and enough with the bro its rude and you do it enough already. Everyone already knows your opinion is the only one that matters to you. You are, for lack of wanting to get another infraction for ingaging in the name calling, acting like a spoiled little brat(did ya read between those lines?).

Now, i dont think there has ever been a Failure when it comes to CPU's. Each has its place somewhere. does a 8120 belong in a rig designed stricktly for gaming, IMO, no. but like me, alot of people do more than gaming and the extra cores will come in handy. Was the performance at launch dismal, yes, was it a failure, no.

I will edit my post to address this. where is the pheom x8? ohh thats right, they dont have one. Goes back to my last paragraph before my edit. Some people need the extra cores, not all, but some.

AND, going back to one fo your last posts about what if there was an phenom x8, thats a big what if. and sadly there isnt so there is no reason to play that game. thats like saying what if the next intel is 6.0ghz out of the box and overclocked to 10ghz. You cant play the "what if" game.

You are forgetting that there are x4 and x6 BDs too, which are inferior to phenom ii x4 and x6.
Even the phenom ii x6 can go head to head with BD x8

not in multitasking the x6 cannot keep up with a x8. I will give you the x4/x6 argument althought you are still talking about bencmarks as again, in daily useage you could not tell a x4BD from a x4Phenom from a 2500k.
