I have an FX6100 as you can see in my sig. Its currently at 4.1ghz @ 1.25v (same as fx6200 turbo speed). I have no complaints, it runs quick and runs BF3 just perfect with a 560ti I had it the system in the past. If you purchased the CPU for under $140 then I think you will be happy. Just my .2 cents.

As others have said its not the best choice, however, it is a modern CPU and when it comes down to it, you should get an enjoyable performance for the majority of tasks you will do.

I have a 2500k @ 4.5ghz that just flies, I was worried that my A6 laptop would feel sluggish in windows. It really doesn't, and I'm actually surprised gaming at Med/Low settings is quiet acceptable when I can't be on my desktop.

While you may not have chosen an ideal BD CPU, you chose a great overclocker. You should have plenty of fun OCing this thing. thumb.gif

I have owned this processor for a little over a week now, and have applied a moderate overclock of 4.6Ghz. I know it can go farther but havent had the time to mess with it yet. People have been saying that the Phenom II is better, but I am noticing a significant improvement in skyrim (with texture mod) over my 3.8Ghz 970 BE.

did you benchmarked those? otherwise we won't believe you.

edit: lol, phenom ii x4 at 3.8ghz VS. BD 6100 at 4.6ghz, of course BD will be faster. rolleyes.gif
i wonder how is your electric bill.
