I'd say its perfect for upgradablilty. Ivy Bridge Quad Core later, another 6870 for CF or GTX 680/7970+.

No...I checked the location of the nearest MC...and no matter where he lives in KY, that drive to Chicago is going to suck. smile.gif

Too bad. I wouldn't buy a CPU anywhere else. I picked up my i7 2600k there for $229...and you could get another $50 off if you bought an MB at the same time. Unfortunately, they don't have much selection for mATX MBs and I had my heart set on a Gen 3 Gene-Z, so I left that $50 on the table.

Ether way, I love my local Micro Center. In fact, I was there today. thumb.gif I just wish that we had a Fry's in the DC area as well. That would be awesome.

Thread Starter
The closest MC to me is in GA, near Atlanta. I hate Atlanta, so I do believe it's out of the question. mellowsmiley.gif

Edited some stuff, made it cheaper biggrin.gif

If you're just gaming you only really need 4 GB of RAM anyway.
