2x 6850 vs single GTX 560 Ti OC'd

Thread Starter
As the title suggest. I am curious. I have a GTX 560 Ti Oc'd, and I am wondering if I should get a second 560 Ti, or sell this card and buy 2x 6850s?

And if so, what 6850's are considered the best? I am a "newb" when it comes to ATI/AMD GPU cards, but I am a loyal AMD CPU customer forever.
Two 6850's destroy a single 560ti, but two 560 ti's destroy two 6850's. So get another 560ti thumb.gif

Well the problem in the 2nd 560 Ti relies in I have an nVidia Reference card, and I cannot find another for the life of me. Would it be possible to SLI an nVidia card and say an MSI twin Frozr II?
I have two 560ti's and I play BF3 on ultra settings with only 2xmsaa at 1920x1200 with a constant 60fps. I would go with two oc'd 560ti's over a CF 6850 setup plus the nvidia drivers are way better than AMD.

yes.. as long it is the same chip
and remember.. the SLI cards use just the amount of ram that the lowest card got.. so a 2gb card + 1gb card use just 1gb.. so with a 2gb card u must get another 2gb or u waste performance.

another thing for you is.. look for benchmark and specs of your cards and buy a comparable equal.. it isnt necessary to be the same brand like mentioned.
just try to avoid a 670mhz cheapo card wtih an 860mhz ultra oced expensive card..

You should be fine doing SLI with two different cards. Just don't SLI a normal ti with a 448 core etc.

6850CF vs 560ti
6850CF vs 560ti sli
And yes, you can sli any card that has the same chip even if the pcb and even the memory is different. So you can just add another 560ti and you'll be good to go, you'll also save money too.

Okay, that settles it. I appreciate the info everyone. I will be sure to get a non-448 560 Ti.

OR, if I can find a seller, I will just sell this one for $200 and just buy two of the same card.

Cheers!

As much as i'm an AMD fan.. It makes no sense to go for the 6850's.. If you had no card i'd say get 2x 6850's.
Seeing as you have a 560ti already, just get another! thumb.gif
