No really good reason to buy a i5-2500 when an i5-2500k costs basically the same.

BF3 is pretty a pretty graphics intensive game.. you'll be able to run on good settings but not max at 1920x1080. You'll be able to run high/max on a lot of games though.

The i5 2500k is a beast and will have no problem with any game for awhile.

Edit: Check out the new HD 7850. I believe it's a little more but not too much more, and is around 20% faster from what I hear. An OC'd 7850 could even play Skyrim at 5760x1080 eyefinity with max settings at an average of 45 FPS

7xxx series blows every previous generation equivalent to shreds. Asus has highest clock speeds.
If you want to keep the card under $200, I would go for this one (915mhz clock speeds)
Its very quiet and after using a normal 6870 1Gb (900mhz clock speeds) before going x-fire, I played everything at very high or max settings (only BF3 wouldn't take the ultra settings, all other games were on full)
Otherwise, if you have the budget, the 7xxx series is very good

I have never owned an XFX so I can't say much for them, the only cards I everbought were Saphires (I just won the Asus, come back in a few months to see if its as reliable as the saphires wink.gif )
Never had a problem with the Saphire cards, and some of them (x1950 and 3870) I pushed pretty hard on clock speeds.
