hi,
i've read many topics but i'm still confused so i ask,
i'm searching for a mobo that can:

-max oc an i5-2500k liquid cooled,my goal is 5 ghz

-support 1 single gpu (better if pci 3.0)

-support sata 6gb and usb 3.0

thx all.

PCI 3.0 won't be useful until Ivy Bridge is released, It'll run as 2.0 unless you purchase Ivy hardware.

Asus P8Z68 Pro or Deluxe Gen3 or Asrock Extreme3 or Extreme4 Gen3. As for hitting 5 GHz on your chip, it's luck of the draw, and even then you might need a heap of voltage to get stable. At that point hope your loop is good enough to keep it cool.

Im using this board

I'm pretty sure it has what you're looking for and probably the best bang for your buck

I bought an open box Asrock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 for $113 on Newegg and I'm running my 2550K at 4.9 GHz at 1.43v with my WCing loop. Luckily for me it was like new and had all accessories and the board itself was just about new.

As mentioned it's all luck of the draw. Most i5 chips will hit 4.3 to 4.5GHz but anything after that is luck and will depend on your cooling.

Sent from my Galaxy S II using Tuturu~

As far as I know, unless you buy some super cheap mobo (which it looks like you aren't), your overclock will be mostly limited by how good the cpu it is itself.
