Yeah D9's can take crazy amounts of voltage.

CPU at 1.55v and RAM at 1.7 - increasing to 1.6v and 1.8vRAM did not improve on it. Phase held temp at -42C.
Changing from Cellshock to a stick of Corsair Dominator GT CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 @ 1.66v gave same 5282MHz result as original.

I assumed I could move the kneaded eraser away and change over to the E8600, but it didn't work very well. i assume this was a "bad mount". The board would just turn off after a short time. Repeatedly. Could only get to 5.2 and it would simply shut down.

The more I fiddled with the existing arrangement the worse it got.
Got an improved SuperPi only.

Pulled it down and fitted the True120 and it runs fine. Makes me think the other Rampage board might be alright too - that might have had a bad mount as well. Not much room for the evap head on them. Will have to build it up and see.
