Help with an OC

Hey guys so Im starting fresh with a new CPU and want to OC it. My goal is 3ghz I would be happy with 2.7GHz though. So I have an Opteron 165, this RAM, and a DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D. So any thoguhts as to how I can accomplish this, oh btw I have an AC FreezerPro 64

Depending on the stepping that is very possible. Do you know the stepping you recieved? As for how to do it. Up your FSB, set your ram dividers to 133 that way you know your ram isnt limiting you, and keep going up to you cant boot into windows. Once you get there, up the voltage (you should get to 2.6 before you need more voltage if you got a good stepping) then keep on going watching those temps. Once you get too 2.6 + id start stress testing each change. Also, be sure to move you HTT to 400 also. Good luck!

CCBBE stepping and on my motherbaord it has 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 for the HTT should I set it t6o 4.0?

3 if you have nice cooling on your nb, 2 if you do not. CCBBE is a nice stepping, if you have 0610 3.0 might be attainable on air, most others need water to get that high. You wanna keep your HTT <1000, so for 3.0 it will need to be set at 3 or 2... 334*3=1002 which you might be able to get away with. If not, you will need to go down too 334*2, for 668.

If your FSB is under 250 or under, set it to 4.0. Any higher, go for 3.0.
