My OCN Introduction.

Thread Starter
A big Hello to everyone and especially to the active Community members. It's great to be here and I hope to be a productive member of this wonderful Community.

About Me:

Been around technology since the 90's at very early stage because of my Electrical Engineer father why didn't teach as much as he should because I was already picking up on technology by my self.

Been through the Windows 3.1 as I was watching my father(don't remember much since I was 6 but I had been playing Nintendo and Sega since I was 4 as I have been told)

Had my first OWN computer at 1996 with Windows 95! Damn! I was out of this world. I could feel the "magic" then! I was playing Neverhood and Jazz Jackrabbit like I was in my own world. Now that I think of it, I kinda was...

And my love/passion for hardware technology kept evolving since then and been through ALL the technology advances since then(1996).

I been through most Nvidia RIVATNT/2(still have it somewhere I believe),
GF(had the 256, mx 220, skipped the Ti's and got the FX-5600 256Mb),
the Voodoo's(never owned one but I installed for friends),
Ati's offering 7/9 series, I think Matrox had some offerings? and forth.
And been though I mean I was aware if their release and capabilities at that time. For most at least

Been also through the AMD's and Intel's since Pentium 386, Pentiums/2/3/4 and forth.
I remember when we reached the 1GHz on the CPU's(both AMD but mostly Intel was the most popular with the PIII 1GHz). Good times!
I also know my way around software quite as well..

I'm one of those guys you can give the a piece of technology that never used or seen(most function are universal anyway) and I already feel familiar with it and find my way around it. Computer hardware specifically and technology also in general. Anything that has transistors in it.

Enough with the chit-chat. I among others consider my self a hardware enthusiast and I plain love technology in general.
After all I manage to transform my passion into a living. It feeds me and provides me with the necessary stuff I need or want.

I'm almost everyday up to date on current Hardware(Specs, benchmarks, user/critics opinions etc) thanks to our beloved review, tech sites( Yes, I indeed read or go through at least 5-10+(rarely above 10+) reviews if available on a product to conclude a more well-rounded opinion).

I'm UNBIASED and Brand agnostic. Although I value quality a step above performance in hardware.(GPU's, PSU's etc)

In general this IS a part of my daily routine and my Life. And I do enjoy it thoroughly.

And above all? I'm self taught. I alone learned to use everything, fix/repair everything(Notebooks repair, Phones repair, pc repairing etc). BUT sometimes I do confess that many stuff I could not do it without some online guidance from many Gurus/Experts around the web. So a big Thank You to all of you.

Interests (Hobbies, favorite activities, etc.):

Watching Movies(Oh yeah, I'm an avid movie-watch freak)
Computer Builds. Just putting everything together for a customer's or friends is a pleasure. I just enjoy it.
Working out

Cinema(Although since I bought my first Sammy FHD 40" LCD around 2006 and now my Sammy 59" Plasma at around 2/2012 I haven't been going that much. Although I don't feel that "cinema magic" as much as I used to or I would like to.

Guess this is part of maturing although I will never like it. I wish we could have that "magic" that we were feeling when we were younger. Be it movies at home or Cinema, playing with friends, Christmas, holidays, summer etc.

And a few others...

What I do for a living:

Working at one of the biggest Technology Companies in my Country. We are the official importers of some known hardware brands here. Good job. It has its ups and down but it's a good living.
After I finish my main job I have also my own small client list(mostly friends) from selling Notebooks, PC's, Mobile phones and many accessories/hardware that come with the territory(GPU's, CPU's, HDD's, externals etc) to Building Rigs etc.

P.S: Just for laughs here's my first proper introduction at Guru3D 2.5 years ago(Been lurking in forums since early 2000's).
http://forum.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=304977

P.S2: I'm also a member on some other known tech sites(hardware or phones(XDA, Neopeek Tiad8 etc)).
Not as active as I should but it's not up to me.. Working almost 2 jobs is kinda time consuming.. But I need a new car so it's on top of my to-do list..
Update: Finally got the new car. 2011 Seat Ibiza SC 1.2 TSI. tongue.gif

Google is watching me! Here's my Google Search: biggrin.gif

Well, you only introduce your self once, why no go all out on it? tongue.gif

Thank you for the Welcoming. Really appreciate it. It really makes a difference.

Like walking in a shop and the owner or employees are helpful and with a good attitude. You feel better being there already and you will probably buy more stuff and return again.. biggrin.gif

P.S: Updated 1st post with the P.S2 at the bottom. wink.gif
