g9x is very popular among korean sc2 progamers.
All of em use it without any shell.

One of the best smaller mice if you use it without the shell imo.

Okay thanks a lot for the help, I'll probably order the mouse either this week or soon enough. Thank you people for helping me choosing which mouse is suitable for me ^^ I appreciate it

I owned the original DA myself, while I love it to death but it was very big for my hands. A perfect mice if you are into FPS like CS:S.

+1 to what he said ^

Is it worth to pay 35$ extra (90 in total) to get a G9x with a Mionix Propus 380 metallic surface mouse pad or should I should I just get the DA:BE for 55$ even if I use the claw grip only?
If I get the DA, I don't need to get a new mouse pad since I already have a QcK cloth pad.
Will the G9x outperform the DA on cloth surface? I only play Starcraft 2 so it requires GOOD precision. DA > G9x on cloth but G9x > DA on hard surface for Starcraft II? Is the positive accel. on it a big impact?

I personally use the G9x with a puretrek Talent(cloth) and i never noticed any inconsistencies, its perfectly precise.

I have owned both and must say, i prefer the G9x by a long shot, for multiple reasons, adjustable weight in the front and back, on the fly DPI adjustment (good if your doing long range sniping in games like BF3 or Arma 2), not too big (i have small hands too), I also use the qck+ and it works and it tracks wonderful on it, and in games like CS:S it works great, and unlike my deathadder, i dropped it a few times on carpet and it didn't break, but my deathadder was dropped once and the mouse wheel broke, and the G9x has an overall sturdy feel to it, and the deathadder just feels sort of, well hollow. also, you can quickly switch between profiles on the G9x, which I can honestly say is a feature i dont use too often, but you might find it convenient .

But how's the precision of G9x compared to the Deathadder? The one that you have, is it the DA 3500dpi 3.5G?

How you mean precision?
Dpi is not precision ,dpi is how many dots or counts you move a inch.
Precision is only related on comfort from a mouse i think.
If you have the right shape for the type of grip you use and you use it a lot i think that;'s the only way to get precision in my opnion.
Dpi is in easy way to say just the speed you adjust the mouse how sensitive you want it.

Eh, well some people say that the sensor of the deathadder is better than the G9x's, therefore, shouldn't it be like... more precise or track better?
