So the computer shop in my country has the 7970 and the GTX 680. I want to buy 2 of either one.

Here are the options:

GTX 680

Reference Asus $999

Reference Gigabyte $999

HD 7970

Reference Sapphire $879

Gigabyte OC Windforce $899

Powercolor HD 7970 $869

What do you think I should get?

EDIT:

I picked the 7970s, but bought 3 cards instead LOL which was never my intention because a fellow OCN member sold me 3 for the price of 2 cards from NZ!

7970. Cheaper and not that much difference in games in terms of fps.

Did some research. Seems the 7970 has high chance of coil whine. That noise drives me crazy.

its really noticeable on the 7000 series from what i have been able to gather. I put a reference 7970 in a fiends build and the coil whine wasn't TOO bad but it was present.

I thought the coil whine would get me, but I barely notice it. My fans are probably louder than the whine.
