Restore Win 7 from image

Thread Starter
I have created a repair disk and a disc image with Win 7.

I plan to move from raid 5 to raid 0 using the above. I will delete the raid 5 volume and then create a raid 0 volume and then restore.

Will this work so I don’t have to reinstall Win 7 ?

It will work as long as the C drive space (not counting the parity) is of equal or greater size than the original drive size you made the image from. ie. If your original image was for a 500GB partition, you can reimage it on anything 500GB and up.

it's supposed to work, but sometimes it won't, lots of times when i'm trying to restore my system from an image it always gives me an error, it basically saying that it can't restore it, something like that.

that's why i'm using a third party cloning software
