Yeah, tightening the momory timings is better, but in your case, it may cause more problems

he is already getting errors with these timings tightening them will cause more instability, if its the ram thats the weakest link........

first go to default timings, if it still generates errors you need to loosen timings further till your memory is stable.........

1. As said, test @ default to eliminate the need to RMA.

3. IMHO, you may find the best overall speed for your RAM with 3-4-4-8.
