Bitspower galaxy freezer leak

Thread Starter
I just put my rig together with all my new stuff and found that while during the filling there was a pretty bad leak, due to how tightly packed the build was It didnt worry me (not the first leak fiasco) but what was bad about this leak was it was all up in the ram slots ect. I thought it must have been a loose fitting or something but it turns out there is a crack in the acrylic top around one of the screws (this hasn't been touched since opening) so yeah pretty devastated as it cost a fair bit and was imported from 'merica. Anyway anyone have anyideas where to go from here? I can upload a bunch of pics of the water damage if wanted?

If the component was damaged prior to use you should contact the seller immediately and demand a refund or exchange. If this is no longer possible, there are some steps you can take to prevent leakage.

Try adding extra layers of teflon tape around the threads of your fitting (if the female threads are damaged).

Putting teflon tape on the fitting threads is likely to make the damage worse.

I'd try for RMA if bought from a retailer or refund if a private sale.

its not around the threads for the fittings anyways, I got it from performance-pcs and from what I have heard they don't like fixing/RMAing things but I will try that. Didn't really want to as shipping will take years.

I know how you feel; last year I needed to RMA my notebook 3 times before Lenovo got it right.

Be patient, considering they will probably cover shipping and handling, it's better than having a potential leak which could fry your entire system.
