Would only need two fans aswell, however I don't think that really matters, you don't add up the dB of each fan, three fans at 1000RPM creating X dB will be the same as 1 won't it? This is based on three fans of the same manufacturer and model running each at 1000RPM.

His case is a lesser version of mine the HAF X, i can fit a full RX 360 + 6 ultra kazes in the top of it, albiet it does interfere with my large ramsinks somewhat.

Was refering to Baltazar, I've never understood a post he's made

Oh, sorry i misunderstood your post. I didn't understand Baltazar post neither.... And there's no way in hell an heatsink could reach 1150 degrees heated by a CPU @ 50 degrees tongue.gif

What size are the fans you are using ? 120mm ? Do you use 1 radiator per fan or radiator grills ?

Quote:
Ever thought that maybe you could put the fans and rads "outside"?

Granted you have to contend with cold winters (I know I live in the same province!). So the only thing you have to worry about is condensation during winter. There's a couple solutions you could use to bypass that problem. Insulation all year round on critical parts, a chiller, valvues etc.

That would exhaust the heat outside and you could have the noise entirely removed from the room.
Oh i see you are from Quebec smile.gif

Well, exhausting outside would be a bit complicated for my situation. Would be a lot of trouble to get it though a wall, and i don't think my landlord would like that tongue.gif
Also, my TV is not close to a wall so i would need like 20 meters long of tubes .. I suppose i would also need a very strong pump.
I think i'd prefer to live with a little bit of noise

Coolermaster HAF 912 is very big, i think it would fit. I know you can hook 2x120mm to the top of the case and i've heard of people doing it, so i think it should fit there.

Ok so beside that, what pump would you recommend me ?

Thanks to everyone for your time and your help!

An Iwaki RD-20 or RD-30 should suffice (18/25m head pressure at 900/1200lph). No need to drill holes through walls, build a box and stick it in a window like an air conditioner.

Oh i see what you mean. I didn't thought about that. Would be a good idea then... But for my first build i prefer to stick to something more simple !

I noticed that performance-pcs.com are selling two types of pumps : stand-alones and also pump/reservoir combo.

Would i have an advantage buying the combo or would you recommend buying both separatly ?

If it is better to buy it separatly, what type of reservoir should I buy ?
I would prefer something that would fit in my 5.25 front bays, but it is not a requirement...

Thanks again

The xspc product is a kit, it comes with a rad, CPU block, pump res combo, tubing, fans, pretty much everything you need accept the fluid and biocide.

hihio..
if you choose a standard watercooling with some 120mm coolers your rig will still be hearable.
it will be silent but if you want it to be complete silent so that only your harddisks and your own breathing annoy you, try this passive cooler:

http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p8383_Alphacool-Cape-Cora-HF-442-Konvekt-schwarz.html
you got to have a silent PSU, silent pump and silent harddisks for this and like i said, you will wish your own breath wouldnt be so loud biggrin.gif

None of the kits come with gpu blocks, you'd have to buy that separate, which just isn't a problem. Just select a block that's compatible with your card, theres no compatability issue with the kit.

Oh WOW this thing is awesome... Looks like exactly what i was looking for at beginning. First i wanted to buy the Reserator1 V2 but it is way too huge. This one looks smaller

But would it fit on my Cooler Master HAF 912 case ? In their videos they are using different model of HAF case
Not sure how i would install that.... And Aquatuning says it doesn't come with a manual

Anyway, even if it doesn't fit on the side of my case maybe i could hook it under my desk or something..

In the first video he's doing gaming test with the EVGA card, but what model is it ? (just to compare it with my 6970)

On the second video, the setup is similar to mine (he's using Core i7 950 with Radeon 6800 --- i use Core i7 2600k with Radeon 6970).
BUT the dude still needs to use two fans to cool his system frown.gif (look @ 12:45)
Also, his CPU temperatures went up to 85 degrees (look @ 14:45) !!! I never did stress test on mine, but my CPU never ever went that high... It almost never goes above 50 degrees...

already got SSD and fanless power supply (Stryker 80+platinum) biggrin.gif

As for the silent pump, i was recommended RD-30 earlier in this thread. Would it be a good choice ?

That's exactly what i'm dreaming of ! haha

my solution for extreme OCing and good temps would be to take two of them
400

"BUT the dude still needs to use two fans to cool his system"
i still would use at least 2x120mm fans .. one at the front to cool your HDD/SSD and one at the end to pull out the heat from the socket and gpu in the tower.
the thing is that you search some coolers that are not hearable around 500-600rpm

"But would it fit on my Cooler Master HAF 912 case ? In their videos they are using different model of HAF case
Not sure how i would install that...."

you have to build something by yoself.. make some holes at the right place in yo tower and take something like this
399
if possible.. or go to the next hardware store and try to find some parts that you would imagine it would work.. custom build ya kno smile.gif

"As for the silent pump, i was recommended RD-30 earlier in this thread. Would it be a good choice ?"
dont know much about silent pumps.. search the web or ask here in an own thread just aiming to get the most silent/efficient pump

the problem i see is.. that if you want a complete silent thing like we are talking about.. it could crush your budget by 100€ i fear frown.gif
look at many builds here and try to let it inspirate you.. maybe this will be a little help
