Need Advice, <200€ to upgrade.

Thread Starter
Hi, Dear OCN Members,

i want upgrade my GPU, i'm currently using a Sapphire 6850, and have up to 200€ (260$) for an upgrade.

I'm looking to get the highest performance available out of these 200, so i'm thinking about a crossfire, preferrably because i won't need to waste the full 200.

So, what do you think? Would buying another 6850 be enough? The reviews i've been reading say it gives an 130-200% framerate improvement in most games.

If they were enough, what 6850 would you buy? Another 1GB Sapphire? or find a more powerful 2GB, maybe XFX?

Or maybe, as a second option, would you consider adding a 6870 to my 6850?

Thank You smile.gif

Since you already have one card your best bet is to get another of the same card.

Crossfiring is certainly your best bet.
You can't crossfire 2 of the same gpus with different sizes of vram, well you could but it'll default to the one with the lowest amount of vram.
You also can't add a 6870 to your 6850 because they're 2 different chips.
